We’re Australia’s first full-service, low-cost property management agency operating nationwide. We deliver an end-to-end property management service for Australian landlords who need a property manager to actually deliver on their promises. We ensure you get everything you would expect from a property manager (and more) at a low, all inclusive, no hidden costs management fee.

Who’s behind propper?

We’re a professionally funded team of real estate, tech and customer service professionals who are keen to raise the bar in property management. The way that property managers currently do business just isn’t the way it should be. We recognise that landlords don’t want broken promises, excuses and endless fees and charges. We are keen to deliver fair and hassle-free property management with significantly higher standards of service.

How’s it any different from a traditional property manager at my local real estate agency?

The difference between us and a traditional real estate agency is simple; we’re hard-working straight shooters, and we guarantee that: You’ll never be our second priority. Unlike traditional real estate agencies, we don’t and never will do sales. You’re our top priority at all times, and since we focus solely on property management, you can be sure that we know our stuff and will always give you the highest quality advice and service which is derived from our expertise in the field. We’re happy to get your call (if we don’t contact you first, that is) Every landlord is different, but the one thing you have in common is that you a) don’t want to be left in the dark, and b) want to feel in control when it comes to your investment property. Our contact centre is powered by real people and we’re completely set up to answer your call. We never avoid calls and we don’t forget to return them. You’ll get better returns by not overpaying your property manager Let’s be honest, extra fees and charges are ridiculous. We believe that everything involved in property management is simply just part of the job, that’s why when we say ‘no hidden charges’ we actually mean it. Is propper a licensed real estate agency?

Yes, we’re a fully licensed real estate agency, however, unlike traditional agencies, we don’t do sales. This means that delivering a seamless and stress-free property management service is our only priority.

Why is propper less expensive than traditional real estate agencies or local property managers?

To put it simply, we have lower overheads. We deliver our service through a harmonious combination of a centralised contact centre and Local Area Managers. Our Local Area Managers are our ‘on the ground’ experts who conduct professional open inspections for prospective tenants and your routine inspections on a bi-annual basis. They also make sure you get high-quality inspection reports so that you know your property is being looked after by your tenants. Our contact centre team is set up to do everything that doesn’t need to be done in person and are the driving force behind the successful management of your property. They’re a professional and proactive bunch who work hard to keep you in the loop and ensure all the important admin stuff gets done. It’s this model that allows us to operate without unnecessary expenses and focus on delivering ‘best in class’ property management to our landlords.

What does ‘all inclusive fee’ actually mean?

It means exactly that. It’s a simple percentage of the weekly rental, and never a cent more. We believe that anything that comes up is just part of the job, so no matter what happens, you can be sure you’ll have nothing more to pay if you choose propper as your managing agent.

Am I locked into a contract or minimum term with propper?

Absolutely not! We are so confident you’ll love us and trust us – that you are free to leave at any time. If you aren’t completely satisfied with us as your property managers and you choose to leave, all we ask is that you provide us with 14 days notice.

How does propper ensure I get quality tenants?

We take the tenant screening process seriously. Before presenting you with a shortlist of our recommendations, we: Screen each prospective tenant through the National Tenancy Database Complete an affordability analysis Conduct detailed reference checks This gives you the peace of mind that when we put a tenant forward for consideration, you can feel comfortable knowing they tick all the right boxes.

Do I get to meet my property manager in person?

At propper you have a dedicated team working for you from our Sydney based contact centre. It’s this model that allows us to offer such a competitive price and focus on delivering exceptional property management. Because of this, you don’t get to meet the team in person, but you can talk to any of our Customer Success Experts at any time. Our Local Area Managers are the ‘faces on the ground’ and you can meet with them in person at either an open inspection or when the routine inspection is taking place on your property.
