Cherie is a regular on Channel Ten’s The Living Room and is Foxtel’s Lifestyle Renovation and Development expert. She is also a regular contributor to a range of print titles and online property investment sites.

Why you should read it

Cherie’s Renovating for Profit site is mainly geared toward her courses, but her blog is chocker with advice. If you are a property investor who likes to get their hands dirty or are looking to flip a property for maximum ROI, then Cherie’s blog has a wealth of practical property investment advice. This includes defining project objectives, budgets and a ton of videos and before/after pics.

2. Michael Yardney’s Property Update

Who runs it?

Michael Yardney is something of a renaissance man – property investor, developer, author, speaker – is there anything he doesn’t do? The short and sweet of it is that he knows his property. If you haven’t come across Michael yet, you can find his views on his site and blog – propertyupdate.com.au. Australian Property Investor was Australia’s highest-selling magazine for home buyers, property investors and real estate professionals, but it ceased its print edition and is now only available online.

Why we love it

Just as well as there is a ton of resources for novice and seasoned investors alike. If you are conducting research on a specific market or want to educate yourself about a specific aspect of property investing then the resources in their content section are detailed and extensive. And you also get the benefit of having a range of experts views and advice, as opposed to just a single talking head.

4. The Barefoot Investor

Who runs it?

Scott Pape is better known as the Barefoot Investor, and while he is not just a property investment guru, his practical financial know-how has seen him voted ‘Australia’s most trusted finance expert’. He is all over the media, as Channel 7 and Triple M’s ‘money guy’, and he even consults to the Australian government on financial education in our schools.

Who runs it?

Your Investment Property is a magazine is published by Key Media who is a global business media company. They also have a website to compliment the print publication that has property data, independent commentary and thoroughly-researched articles about all aspects of investing in property in Australia.

Michael Matusik is a former town planner turned property analyst and the founder of Matusik Property Insights.

Why we love it

Michael has a slightly contrarian view on things, but that is why we think you should check out his property investment blog – Matusik Missive.
